iPad/iPhone Setup

Step 1

 

You will need the Zoom Cloud Meetings app. If you have not downloaded it yet, you can download it for free from the Apple App Store.

 

Step 2

 

You will need to change some settings to make sure your lesson goes smoothly. Tap the Gear Icon in the top left to open the settings menu, tap Meetings then change the following settings:

  • Auto-Connect to Audio: Set to Use Internet

  • Use Original Sound: Turn On

 

Step 3

 

Approximately 1 hour before your lesson is due to start you will receive an email and a text message containing your Meeting ID and Password. For security reasons, these are only valid for one lesson and you will receive new details for every lesson.

 

Step 4

 

Open the Zoom mobile app and join a lesson using one of these methods:

  • Tap Join a Meeting if you want to join without signing in to a Zoom account.

  • If you have a Zoom account tap Sign In, once you have signed in you can tap Join.

  • If you don’t have a Zoom account but wish to sign up for one, tap Sign Up, once you have completed the registration process you can tap Join.

Enter the meeting ID number and your display name, then tap join.

 

Step 5

 

You will be prompted to enter your password to join the lesson.

 

Step 6

 

Allow the Zoom app to access your devices camera and microphone if prompted.

 

Step 7

 

Once you have connected to the lesson and joined audio, tap More in the top right and then tap Enable Original Sound. You may need to do this at the start of each lesson.
